Brandon Scherff is a professional American football player in the National Football League. He has been playing for the Jacksonville Jaguars since 2022. He was also a part of the Washington Commanders from 2015 to 2021. Scherff has been named to the Pro Bowl five times, the most recent one is in 2021.

Brandon Scherff was born on December 26, 1991, in Denison, Iowa. He is a Guard and he stands 196 cm tall, and his weight was last listed at 143 kg. He attended Denison High School in his hometown of Denison, Iowa. Aside from football, he also played track & field and basketball. As a basketball player, he led the team in rebounds.
By the time he was a senior, he was regarded by Rivals.com as a three-star football recruit. He later committed to play for the University of Iowa. He also received offers from Iowa State, Kansas, and Kansas State.

He played for Iowa State from 2010 to 2014. In his last year with the team, he was named the Rimington–Pace Offensive Lineman of the Year. He also received the Outland Trophy.
Professional Career
Right out of college, he was projected to be a first-round draft. He was selected by the Washington Commanders in the first round. Scherff was the 5th overall pick of the draft. He was the first Iowa State player to be drafted in the top 10 since Robert Gallery in 2004. He signed a four-year contract with the team in 2015.
In his rookie year, he was named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team. In his second year, he was named to the 2016 Pro Bowl for the first time. He has since been named to the Pro Bowl four more times, bringing his total to 5. In 2020, he was named to the First-team All-Pro.
He left the Commanders in 2021 and signed a three-year contract to play for the Jacksonville Jaguars in March 2022.
