Nyheim Hines is a professional American football player who has played for the Indianapolis Colts in the National Football League since 2018. The Colts were the ones who drafted Hines into the NFL in 2018. Prior to joining the league, Hines played collegiate football for Carolina State University.

Nyheim Hines was born on November 12, 1996, in Garner, North Carolina. He attended and played high school football at Garner Magnet High School. By the time he was a senior, he had accumulated 6,242 rushing yards. He received several college offers but eventually committed to play for Carolina State.

He played at NC State under Coach Dave Doeren. When he was a junior, he rushed 1,112 yards. He later decided to forgo his senior year to declare for the 2018 NFL draft. Aside from football, he was also on the track and field team at NC State.

Professional Career

He was drafted into the NFL by the Indianapolis Colts during the 2018 NFL Draft. They picked him in the 4th round and he was the 104th overall pick in the draft. In 2019, he became the first player to have two punt returns for a touchdown since Darius Reynaud did it in 2012.

In 2021, he signed a contract extension with the Colts. It was for three years and was worth a reported US$18.6 million.
