Marvin Jones is a wide receiver for the NLF team Jacksonville Jaguars. The Cincinnati Bengals drafted him in the fifth round of the 2012 NFL Draft.
His wife is Jazmyn Jones, with whom he has six children. His youngest son died at six months old on December 27, 2019.
Career
Jones went to Etiwanda High School, where he played football. He is the all-time leading receiver of Etiwanda and the All-American of the Super Prep magazine.

He played college football at the University of California. While there, he earned Honorable Mention All-Pac 12. He had started 38 of 43 games throughout his career with a record of 13 touchdowns and 156 receptions for 2,270 yards.
Jones was drafted 166th overall in the fifth round of the 2012 NF Draft. The Cincinnati Bengals selected him but only had a limited role in his rookie season. In his sophomore season in 2013, Jones showed a breakout performance that gave his team a win in Week 8 versus the Jets.
Because of injuries to his ankle and feet, Jones had to sit out the whole 2014 season. He was supposed to return in Week 5 but injured his ankle again in practice. He ended the season by being put on the Injured Reserve.
Jones returned in 2015 and made a season-high mark four weeks in the season. He made 9 receptions for 95 yards in a touchdown that helped the team take the victory over the Buffalo Bills.
In March 2016, he signed a 5-year contract with the Detroit Lions. In his first year with them, he started 15 games and recorded 55 catches for 930 yards and 4 touchdowns.
In 2017, Jones made his first touchdown of the season and finished with a career-high 61 receptions for 1,101 yards and 9 touchdowns.
In the 2018 season, Jones only played 9 games due to a knee injury. On November 26, he was placed on Injured Reserve. He finished with 35 catches for 508 yards and 5 touchdowns.
Jones made a season-high 126 yards, where he caught 8 passes, in the 2019 season. He had a great streak this season but was placed on the Injured Reserve again due to an ankle injury. He finished with 62 catches for 779 yards and 9 touchdowns in 11 starts and 13 games.
In 2020, he scored a touchdown versus the Washington Football Team. He signed a 2-year deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars on March 17, 2021.
