Receiver Jerard Rabb played his college football with Boise State and in 2007 was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Dallas Cowboys. After being released by the Cowboys, he was signed by the San Francisco 49ers.
In his final season at Boise State, Rabb had 33 catches for 507 yards and three touchdowns. In 2005, his first season at State after transferring from a junior college, he led the team in receptions with 38 and receiving yards with 572. He caught five touchdowns that year.
Up to this point, Rabb has been a preseason player and practice squad member, first on the Cowboys and then the 49ers, battling for a roster spot. Rabb is six-foot-two and 199 pounds, giving him a good frame for a NFL receiver. He’s a reliable pass catcher, showing fine speed and decent quickness. Athletic and smart, Rabb has fine balance and a good but not potent burst. He must become more proficient as a route runner. His hands are sure and skilled.
