Arizona Cardinals’ wide receiver Jerheme Wayne Urban played his college football at Trinity University. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Seattle Seahawks in 2003.

While at Trinity, Urban lettered in both football and track. In track he earned 12 titles in six different events. As a receiver, he scored 40 touchdowns, scored 240 points, caught 191 balls, ran up 2,962 receiving yards and 1,000 return yards.

In three of four NFL seasons (he did not play n 2006), Urban has appeared in 21 games. He’s caught 35 passes for 597 yards (17.1 YPC) and three touch downs. He’s fumbled once, losing it. On special teams, he’s made five tackles with three being solo.

Urban is tall and lanky at six-foot-three and 212 pounds. His receiving skills are first-rate, and he has above-average straight-line speed. Urban has difficulty extracting himself from defenders on the line and lacks that initial burst and the quick moves that are so essential to successful receivers. He’s smart, reads coverage well and will go across the middle and give up his body to make a catch. He’s a real team player who’s willing to do the little things to help his club succeed.
