Yannick Ngakoue is a professional American football player in the National Football League (NFL). He currently holds a defensive end position for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Ngakoue is a Pro Bowler and is known for his athleticism and speed.

Born on March 31, 1995 in Washington, Ngakoue was named the Gatorade Football Player of the Year while attending Friendship Collegiate Academy Public Charter School. He went on to play or the University of Maryland, College Park. He declared for the 2016 NFL Draft and was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars.

During his rookie year, he recorded 22 combined tackles, 2 pass deflections, 8 sacks, 1 interception, and 1 forced fumble in 16 games with 15 starts. In the 2018 season, he was ranked 88th in the Top100 Players and the 12 sacks he recorded was ranked 8th in the NFL. As a replacement for his teammate Calais Campbell, he was selected for his first Pro Bowl.
