Deshaun Watson is a professional American football player in the National Football League (NFL). He currently holds the quarterback position for the Houston Texans. Watson is a Pro Bowler and a multi-awarded player.
Born on September 14, 1995 in Georgia, Watson played football and broke many records at Gainesville High School. He then went on to lead the Clemson Tigers football team to a top ranking in the polls. Watson garnered numerous awards including the Davey O’Brien Award.
He declared for the 2017 NFL Draft and was selected by the Houston Texans in the first round. During his first NFL game, he threw his first career touchdown in a loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. On September 14, 2017, he made his first career start. Watson became the first rookie to rush for one touchdown and pass for at least four touchdowns in a single game since 1961.
During practice, he tore his ACL and had to undergo surgery. His current rank on the Top 100 Players is number 50. Watson’s current player statistics are 45 – 17 touchdowns – interceptions, 5,864 passing yards, 66.4 completion percentage, 103.1 passer rating, 7 rushing touchdowns, and 820 rushing yards.
