Joey Bosa is a professional American football player in the National Football League (NFL). He currently holds the defensive end position for the Los Angeles Chargers. He is a Pro Bowler and the 2017 Defensive Rookie of the Year.
Born on July 11, 1995 in Florida, Bosa played football while attending St. Thomas Aquinas High School where he was named a four-star recruit. He played college football for Ohio State University and was a multi-awarded player. He declared for the 2016 NFL Draft and was selected by the San Diego Chargers.
He missed the first month of the 2016 of the season because of an injury but had an excellent recovery which allowed him to become the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year. From a previous ranking of 100, he rose to number 37 on the Top 100 Players of the 2018. He suffered from a foot injury in the beginning of the 2018 season but was able to play for his playoff debut.
