Adam Thielen is a professional American football player in the National Football League (NFL). He currently holds the wide receiver position for the Minnesota Vikings. He is a two-time Pro Bowler
Born on August 22, 1990 in Minnesota, Thielen played football, baseball, golf, and basketball while attending Detroit Lakes High School. He played college football at Minnesota State Mankato University and ranked high for receiving yards, receptions, and touchdown catches. Thielen declared for the 2013 NFL Draft and was selected by the Minnesota Vikings.
During his rookie year, he was named All-NFC North Special Team Player of the Year. In the 2015 season, he was named the Vikings Special Team Player of the Year. He also led the Vikings with 967 receiving yards and ranked among the top 5 players in the NFL in terms of yards per target and catch rate.
Thielen was ranked 36th in the Top 100 Players during the 2017 season. During the 2018 season, he recorded 113 receptions for 1,373 receiving yards and 9 receiving touchdowns. His current player statistics are 293 receptions, 3,897 receiving yards, 13.3 receiving average, and 19 receiving touchdowns.
