Alvin Mentian Kamara is a professional American football player in the National Football League (NFL). He currently holds the running back position for the New Orleans Saints. Kamara is a two-time Pro Bowl player and the 2017 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.

Born on July 25, 1995 in Norcross, Kamara led the Norcross High School to its first state championship. For college he first went to the University of Alabama and then Hutchinson Community College before finally setting at University of Tennessee. He decided to forego his last season and declared for the NFL 2017 Draft where he was selected by the New Orleans Saints.

During his rookie year, he recorded the very first 700/700 season in the franchise and became the third rookie to do so in the league. Due to his amazing performance in his first season, he became the Offensive Player of the Year and was ranked 20th in the NFL Top 100 Players of 2018.

Kamara started the 2018 season as the Saint’s main running back. He was essential in getting the Saints to the NFC Championship. Kamara’s current player statistics are 1,611 rushing yards, 5.1 rushing averages, 1,535 receiving yards, 555 return yards, 32 total touchdowns, and 162 receptions.
