Convicted steroids pusher David Jacobs and his girlfriend, Amanda Jo Earhart-Savell, were found shot to death in Plano, Texas. Police were on a welfare check requested by Earhart-Savell’s relatives, who were concerned about her. When police arrived at Jacobs’ home they found that the couple had been shot.

In the last few weeks, Sports Pundit reported that Jacobs had cooperated with NFL officials, giving them names of players to whom he’d sold or given drugs. At this time, it’s unknown if the shootings constitute a double homicide or a murder-suicide. The Dallas Morning Star is reporting that a handgun was recovered at the scene.

On May 1, Jacobs pled guilty to conspiring to possess anabolic steroids with intent to distribute. He was fined $25,000 and sentenced to probation for three years. When it came to illegal performance enhancing drugs, Jacobs had a booming business selling 1,000 units of anabolic steroids and another 1,000 units of growth hormone kits per month.

Jacobs, who was 35 years old and trying to rebuild his nutritional supplement business, and Ms. Earhart-Savell, who was 30, had an off-again/on-again relationship that included a broken marriage engagement. The couple had recently gotten back together. Due to his legal problems, Jacobs was having a difficult time getting his business up and running again.
