In Australia’s newly announced Twenty20 cricket competition, the Big Bash League, Melbourne Renegades is an Australian franchise representing the Melbourne region. The team is captained and coached by Andrew Mc Donald and Simon Helmot respectively in Melbourne Dockland.

The home matches of the Renegades are played at Etihad Stadium which has a seating capacity of 56,347. The Renegades was founded up in the year 2011 to take part in Big Bash League and can be recognized by their red kit.

The team has a total number of eighteen players which also includes some of the international players such as Aaron Finch, Brad Hodge, Shahid Afridi, Andrew McDonald, Abdul Razzaq, Shane Harwood, Dirk Nannes as well as Shaun Tait.
