The Oxford University Cricket Club is the First-Class team which represents the University of Oxford. It is closely linked to the Oxford University’s Centre of Cricketing Excellence but trying to retain its independent stature. The home games of this team are played at the University Park in Oxford, England.

Players who have represented the team in the first class four day varsity match against Cambridge University are eligible for an Oxford Blue. Dr. Samuel Johnson in 1729 was himself a student there and played cricket for the team.

But its first class debut came in 1827 against Cambridge University Cricket Club which can be said as the oldest first class fixture. This epical match was played at the Lord’s.
