Northerns Cricket team

Northerns Cricket team was formerly known as North Eastern Transvaal cricket team and also as the Northern Transvaal cricket team. This team is based in South Africa since 1937.

For the purposes of the SuperSport Series, the team merged with the Easterns team, which was initially known as Eastern Transvaal, thus forming the Titans.

The team has won the South African Airways Provincial Three Day Challenge and the South African Airways Provincial One day challenge once in 2005-06.

The Northerns team was known as North Eastern Transvaal team from 1937 till 1971. Post this, the team were named s Northern Transvaal till 1997. After removing “Transvaal”, the team has been named as Northerns Cricket team and is a part of the Titans team since 2004.
