The Galle Cricket Club> is a first class cricket team which is based in Galle in Sri Lanka. The team plays their home games at Galle International Stadium, which got destroyed in the Asian Tsunami. This stadium was renovated afterwards. The stadium was built in 1876 as a race course and the ground covers an area of 4.216 hectares of land.
The Galle Cricket Club team had played against Colombo Cricket Club in Premier Championship in 2004-05 at the Colombo Cricket Club Ground, in a three day match. The opponent team won the toss and had decided to field. At the end, the match was drawn.
