The Rhodesia Cricket Team is a domestic team that represents Southern Rhodesia which is a British colony in South Africa. Later on, the colony of Southern Rhodesia became the independent state of Rhodesia which further on began to be called Zimbabwe.

The cricket team was aptly named as Zimbabwe-Rhodesia Cricket team in 1980 and in 1981 it again changed its name to Zimbabwe national cricket team. History records the team’s earliest match as one held in 1905 at the Currie Cup championship. They lost the match to Transvaal by an innings and 170 runs. The team did not participate in further Currie Cup competitions until 1929-30.

In 1931-32, the team played five matches at the Currie Cup, winning four of them. However, they lost the trophy to Western Province in accordance to the points system which was used in those times. Again the team took a break from the championship until returning back in 1946-47. After that, the team regularly participated along the years.

Noteworthy players in the team included Mike Procter and Colin Bland. The team officially departed from the competition after Zimbabwe became independent nearing the end of 1979-80. The final season of participation, the team participated under the name of Zimbabwe-Rhodesia.
