The Lahore Badshahs is a team in the Indian Cricket League that comprises of players only from Pakistan who have in the past represented the national team of Pakistan. This team made its debut in the Indian Cricket League on 11th March 2008 against the Chennai Superstars, which was the winner of the previous edition of the league.
The coach of this team is Moin Khan who was formerly a wicketkeeper in the Pakistan national team. The captain of this team is Inzaman-ul-Haq who was formerly the captain of the Pakistan national team. The other players in this team are Mohammad Sami, Imran Nazir, Imran Farhat, Mushtaq Ahmed, Saqlain Mushtaq, Rana Naved-ul-Hasan, Naved Latif, Shahid Nazir, Humayun Farhat, Azhar Mahmood, Arshad Khan, Riaz Afridi and Tahir Mughal.
On 26th October 2008, Delhi Giants defeated Lahore Badshahs by 6 wickets at Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Gurgaon. The toss was won by Lahore Badshahs and they decided to bat first. In 20 overs, they scored 147 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. Ali Murtaza bowled 4 overs, none of which were maidens, conceded 7 runs and took 4 wickets. He was selected as Man of the Match. Delhi Giants scored 148 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 18.3 overs. Abbas Ali scored 52 while Abhinav Bali was unbeaten on 47.
On 23rd October 2008, Lahore Badshahs defeated Mumbai Champs by 8 wickets at Sardar Vallabhai Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad. The toss was won by Lahore Badshahs and they decided to field first. Mumbai Champs scored 140 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. Lahore Badshahs scored 141 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 13.2 overs. Imran Nazir scored unbeaten 83 runs in 38 deliveries and was awarded the Man of the Match.
