Southern Redbacks which is based in Adelaide is a first class cricket team. The home ground of this team is the Adelaide Oval. This is also the main training venue of the team. This team participates in the KFC Twenty20 Big Bash which is a Twenty20 tournament, the limited overs Ford Rangers Cup and the Sheffield Shield tournament.
The Southern Redbacks have been victorious in the Sheffield Shield Cup in the years 1893-94, 1909-10, 1912-13, 1926-27, 1935-36, 1938-39, 1952-53, 1963-64, 1968-69, 1970-71, 1975-76, 1981-82 and 1995-96. This team has won the One Day Cups in the years 1983-84 and 1986-87. The highest team score has been 821 for 7 while playing against Queensland in 1939-40.
