The 2019 edition of the Pakistan Super League will be played from February 14 and the squads for this fourth season were announced on November 20, 2018. Get all the information on the PSL Squads and the Draft process below.

Six teams feature are going to feature in the 2019 PSL, the same number as the previous season. While Lahore Qalandars, Karachi Kings, Peshawar Zalmi, Quetta Gladiators and defending champions Islamabad United continue to be a part, the Multan Sultans who had joined the tournament last season, parted ways with the tournament. In its place a new franchise will be announced but for now, the team is called the Sixth Team.

Each of these six PSL teams were given a chance to trade or retain 10 players at the most going into the selection procedure for the 2019 edition. This selection process, called the PSL Draft was held on November 20, 2018.

Each of the player was allocated to a category, from Platinum for the best and the highest-priced player to Diamond, Gold, Silver and Emerging category players. There was a Supplementary category for those players who will become a part of the squad only in case of injuries and other issues.

Depending on how many players were retained from each category, teams had the remaining slots to be picked from the PSL draft. The order of draft picks was pre-decided based on the ranking of the teams from the previous season.

Some of the top players who were either retained or were a part of the Draft included Luke Ronchi, Shadab Khan, AB de Villiers, Steven Smith, Mohammad Amir, Babar Azam, Hasan Ali, Kieron Pollard, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Sunil Narine, Dwayne Bravo, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Hafeez, Shoaib Malik and Shahid Afridi.
