Why T10 Cricket League & its History?
The T10 League or the T10 Cricket League is the world’s first ever T10 tournament that was played for the first time in 2017. At that time it was a six-team competition held over four days in the month of December in Sharjah. Kerala Kings were the winners of the first ever season of this T10 Cricket League, beating the Punjabi Legends in the final by eight wickets.
This was after the Legends had beaten Pakhtoons and the Kings had overcome the Maratha Arabians in the semi-finals. The other two teams knocked out before making the knock-out stage of the tournament included Team Sri Lanka and Bengal Tigers. Bengal beat Sri Lanka in the fifth-sixth playoff.
Some of the top players that featured in the first edition of the competition included Eoin Morgan, Liam Plunkett, Kieron Pollard, Virender Sehwag, Imad Wasim, Mohammad Amir, Alex Hales, Dwayne Bravo, Shahid Afridi, Fakhar Zaman, Ahmad Shahzad, Tamim Iqbal, Shoaib Malik, Misbah-ul-Haq, Hasan Ali, Umar Akmal, Adil Rashid, Carlos Brathwaite, Dinesh Chandimal, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Mohammad Nawaz, Mustafizur Rahman, Sunil Narine and Darren Sammy.

In the first stage of the competition, each side will play the other three in their own group. This will be followed by each team playing three more matches, one each against three of the four teams in the other group.
At the end of this second stage of the tournament, the playoffs begin with the top two sides from all the eight teams facing off in the first game. The winner of this match will enter the final while the losing team will face the winner of the second playoff. This second playoff will be played between the teams placed third and fourth.
