Danny Richard Briggs is a professional English cricketer. Currently, he plays for Hampshire County Cricket Club. Born on 30th April 1991 in Newport, Isle of Wight, Danny plays as a bowler and his bowling style is slow left-arm orthodox. Briggs sees New Zealand skipper Daniel Vettori as his hero and has modeled his bowling style like Vettori’s.

Briggs one-day debut for Hampshire came in a match against Nottinghamshire in the 2009 Friends Provident Trophy. His first-class debut came the same year in a match against Somerset during the County Championship played at the Rose Bowl.

In August 2009, Briggs was included in the Under-19s squad of England on their Bangladesh tour. He turned out to be the leading wicket-taker of his side with eight wickets. He was also a part of Under-19s team of England in Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2010.

In 28 First Class matches, Briggs has picked up 94 wickets with best figures of 6 for 45.
