Anya Shrubsole is an English cricketer who plays for England women’s national team. Other than the national team she has also played for Rubies. Shrubsole is a right-handed batsman and has a bowling style of right-arm medium. Bret Lee is her favorite cricketer.
Anya> was selected for the international squad after her brilliant performance in the domestic cricket. She made her debut in One-Day Internationals in a match played against South Africa’s women team in August 2008. In the four ODIs she has played so far, her performance has been quite poor. She has only taken one wicket at an average of 102. While batting, she could only score just one run in the single Innings she played.
However, Anya’s performance in Twenty20 is worth mentioning. She made a striking debut with the wonderful bowling figures of three wickets for nineteen runs against women’s team of South Africa. Till now, Shrubsole has played five T20 matches and has taken eight wickets at an average of 14.75. In her single batting Innings, she could only make one run.

Apart from cricket, Anya Shrubsole has also been good in academics. In GCSE level she has got 2 A* and 9 A’s.
Career Highlights
The Cricket Society honored her with the award of most promising young woman cricketer in 2008.
She was a part of England Women’s team in 2009.
