Dillon du Preez is a South African Cricketer. He was born on 8th November 1981 in Port Elizabeth, Cape Province. He is a right arm medium fast bowler and a right hand batsman. He has played for teams like Eagles, Leicestershire, Free State and Royal challengers Bangalore.

He played his first debut match for free state in 2003 season against the West Indies National team and got the wicket of Shivnarine Chanderpaul. He finished with figures of 3 for 75 runs in that match. His interest for the game was developed when he attended a cricket academy which was managed and run by Rudi Steyn and Corrie van Zyl who were prominent International cricketers. He was also a part of the Leicestershire team in the 2008 county season.

RCB gave him the break in the IPL 2009 against Mumbai Indians where he grabbed 3 wickets including 2 back to back wickets of which the first wicket was Sachin Tendulkar. Dillon du Preez also has two centuries against his name in the county version of the game and hence is very much capable of holding together the innings at the lower batting order. He has played 45 Twenty20 matches and has picked 46 wickets in them with best figures of 3 for 17 runs.
