Ryan McLaren is a South African cricket player born in Northern Cape, South Africa in 1983. This left hand batsman and a right arm medium fast bowler is an all rounder.
He made his first class cricket debut for the Free State, which is presently known as Eagles in 2003, taking 2 wickets and scoring 25 runs. For the under 19’s South African team, he played 8 matches during the 2001-02 under 19 World Cup.
In 2007, he joined Kent team and played at the Twenty20 Cup final match against Gloucestershire team. He took a hat trick and helped the team win the Twenty20 Cup for the first time. Later on, he was called up to play against teams like England and Zimbabwe in 2009-10 season.
In 2009, he was signed by the IPL Franchise team, Mumbai Indians. He even won the man of the match for performing well against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. In 2011, he was signed by the Kings XI Punjab team as a replacement after two players got injured, Dimitri Mascarenhas and Stuart Broad.
Ryan is also a part of the squad of the Middlesex cricket team since 2011.
