Rahul Sharma is an Indian cricketer, born in Punjab in 1986. He is a right handed legbreak and even a googly bowler. Moreover, he has been an active member of the Punjab cricket team since 2006. He got recognition due to his impressive bowling performances in IPL 2011 for Pune Warriors. Presently, he is a part of this team to play at the IPL 5 season 2012.
Rahul made his debut in first class cricket in 2006 for the Punjab cricket team against Rajasthan, though he had to wait till 2009 to play again. In 2009-10 season, he played for the Ranji Trophy, taking 13 wickets in 7 first class matches.
In 2010, he made his IPL debut for the team of Deccan Chargers. He took 5 wickets, at 8.08 overs, in 6 matches that he played for Deccan Chargers. The following year, he played for Pune Warriors.
