Chandrasekar Ganapathy was born in 10th of June, 1981 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Ganapathy studied in Sir Sivaswami Kalalalaya Senior Secondary Schoo in Mylapore, Chennai. This Indian cricket player is a right arm medium pacer and a right handed batsman. The major teams that he played were Tamil Nadu in the Ranji Trophy and the South Zone in the Duleep Trophy.

He has been an active part of the Indian Premier League with the Chennai Super Kings in 2008. This key player in the team of Tamil Nadu after the team suffered for two seasons due to ICL defections. His debut was in 2003-04, where he took 17 wickets. He made his mark in 2008-09, emerging as a quality bowling allrounder, helping Tamil Nadu team reach the Ranji semi finals.
