Kiran Powar is a left handed batsman and right arm offbreak bowler. He has been a member of several teams like Mumbai Champs, Mumbai, Goa, Baroda and Assam.

Powar participated in a first class match between Saurashtra and Baroda at Rajkot (Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Ground) from 1st to 4th December 2006. In the 1st innings, he was the No. 5 batsman, but was trapped leg before wicket on the very first ball he faced. As Saurashtra was given a follow on in the 2nd innings, there was no need to bat in this innings. Baroda won this match by an innings and 19 runs.
