Mohammad Nazimuddin is a top order batsman who bats right handedly. He started his first class career when he was 16 as a representative of Chittagong Division. Soon he was included in the Bangladesh A and Under 19 sides and as he recorded an array of good scores, his name lingered in the minds of selectors. During the final of the 4 day National League, he bashed scores of 103 and 82. His performance against England A in the initial part of 2007 brought him in the limelight for an international call-up. As he had developed a reputation of being a big hitter at the top of the batting order, he was made a part of the squad of Bangladesh for the Twenty20 World Championship in South Africa. He did not disappoint his selectors and in the match against Pakistan he smashed 81 runs. He was not equally successful in the ODIs and only after playing 7 matches, joined the ICL along with team Dhaka Warriors.
