Nantie or Mornantau Hayward has plays for many teams like South Africa, Worcestershire, Warriors, Middlesex, Kolkata Tigers, Hampshire 2nd XI, Hampshire, Eastern Province, Dolphins and Chennai Superstars in the ICL.

When Hayward started playing, he was a red-headed and tearaway pace bowler who had a clumsy run-up and attitude. Along with time, although he has sorted his run-up, his attitude has not changed. He has a desire to bowl fast and thinks there is no point in making friendship with batsmen. Hayward is largely regarded as Allan Donald’s successor and the mainstay of the South African attack. He possesses a lot of energy, the capacity to extract bounce and true pace. When he blends these three effectively, he is a fearsome opponent. During his 2nd Test match against England, when the conditions were suitable to the batsmen, he took 4 wickets for 75 runs. He made an impression with his ability to keep running under the hot sun. In January 2003, he signed a deal with Worcestershire, due to which he could not take part in international matches. In April 2007, he became a part of Friends Provident Trophy in Ireland and also represented Kolkata Tigers in the ICL.
