Siddarth Kaul is basically a right arm medium pace bowler. The India Under-19 team won the Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2008 in Malaysia. Kaul was an important member of this team. He took 10 wickets at a bowling average of 15.40 in this championship and was ranked 10th amongst the highest wicket takers of the tournament.
Kaul has been a member of Under-15, Under-17 and Under-19 teams of Punjab. In the 2007-08 Ranji Trophy season, he played against Orissa at Mohali and this was his debut match in first-class cricket. In the 1st innings of this match, he took 5 wickets for 97 runs and these are his career best figures.
Siddarth Kaul’s father, Tej Kaul, was a member of the Jammu and Kashmir cricket team in the 1970s. Uday Kaul, Siddarth’s brother, plays for Punjab team along with Siddarth.
In 2008, Kolkata Knight Riders of the IPL signed Kaul for 30,000 USD.
