Vijaykumar Yo Mahesh is a right handed batsman and right arm medium fast bowler. He has played for teams like Delhi Daredevils, Tamil Nadu, India Under-19s and India Blue. Recently, he has been bought by the team of Chennai Super Kings to play at the IPL 5 season 2012.

Yo Mahesh played his first Twenty20 match against Andhra at Visakhapatnam (Andhra Cricket Association-Visakhapatnam District Cricket Association Stadium) on 3rd April 2007. He took 2 wickets in the 4 overs that he bowled while conceding 32 runs. Although, he was assigned the No. 8 batting position, he did not get a chance to bat. Tamil Nadu won this match by 7 wickets with 13 balls to spare.

Mahesh played against Rajasthan Royals in the IPL on 30th May 2008 at Mumbai. This match was the 1st semi final of the IPL in the 2008 season. He took the opportunity to bowl 4 overs and made 2 dismissals while giving away 50 runs. 3 runs were scored by him in 10 balls at the No. 9 batting slot. This match was won by Rajasthan Royals by 105 runs.
