Konda Bhaskir Arun Karthik is a professional Indian Cricketer who was born on 15th February 1986 in Walajpet, Tamil Nadu. He is a right handed top order batsman who generally bats at one down position for the Tamil Nadu State team. The major teams that he has been part of include Royal Challengers Bangalore, Chennai Super Kings, Badureliya Sports Club and Tamil Nadu. Presently, he has been retained by Royal Challengers Bangalore team to play for the IPL 5 season.

Arun Karthik has played for Badureliya Sports Club which is a Sri Lankan side in the One day Internationals. He then was the leading run scorer for the side making away 213 runs in the nine games he played. In the 2008-09 seasons Arun Karthik played his debut match against Karnataka in first class level where he made a huge score of 149 runs. 2009-10 seasons were a good one for him as he piled up 573 runs in the Ranji format with a staggering average of 53.19.

Chennai Super Kings had picked him up for their IPL side keeping in mind his abilities to hit the ball long and also play longer innings at the top order. Later he has been shifted to the Royal Challengers Bangalore team for the current 2011 season. It has not proved to a great outing for him as he has been seen a bit out of touch through his batting in this current season. But definitely Arun Karthik has the required talent to offer heaps and tons to Indian Cricket as well as Royal Challengers Bangalore.
