Manoj Kumar Tiwary is a professional Indian cricketer from Howrah, who is known as an aggressive right hand batsman.Other than the Indian cricket team, he has also played for India Green, Delhi Daredevils, and Bengal. Presently, he is with the IPL team of Kolkata Knight Riders IPL team 2012.

Manoj made his ODI debut against Australia on 3rd of Feb, 2008 at Brisbane. He scored 2 runs in this match. However, the match did not produce any results as it got washed away due to rains. After getting shoved up as well as down in 2005-06, Manoj secured the 4th position in the subsequent season; thereby making it his permanent place.

Manoj did not find any difficulty in getting selected in Indian Cricket Team; thanks to his first-class cricket career. The average of 99.5 in these matches went on to take his 1st-class average to around 57.5. The passionate and aggressive cricketing fraternity of Bengal has nick-named Manoj as ‘Chhota Dada’ (‘Dada’ being Sourav Ganguly).

Manoj Tiwary has just got exposed to international cricket. There is a long way to go. The nation has loads of expectations from him in the years to come. As such, Dhoni is being leading the younger lot since the last two years. Manoj has also joined the bandwagon off late.

Career Highlights

Till date, Manoj has played in 6 ODIs, 1 T20Is, 54 First class matches, 78 List A and in 68 Twenty20 matches.
