Tino Best bats right handedly and bowls right arm fast in the West Indies cricket team. He has also played for Mumbai Champs and Barbados.
Best debuted in Test cricket on 1st May 2003 at Bridgetown against Australia. In the 1st innings, he bowled 20 overs, out of which 1 was maiden, 99 runs were scored in the remaining but a wicket could not be taken. He scored 20 runs in 49 deliveries and remained not out. In the 2nd innings, he was out for no score after facing 7 deliveries. Australia won this match by 9 wickets. On 15th May 2004, a One day International was contested between West Indies and Bangladesh at Kingston and this was the debut match for Best. In the 10 overs which Best bowled, 1 was a maiden and he took 4 wickets while giving away 35 runs.He scored 2 runs in 4 deliveries. West Indies won by 1 wicket with 20 deliveries to spare.
In the 12 Test matches which Best played in, he bowled 1851 deliveries, conceded 1171 runs and took 26 wickets at a bowling average of 45.03 and economy rate of 3.79. He participated in 11 One day Internationals and in these took 13 wickets in the 506 deliveries he bowled while giving away 427 runs. His economy rate was 5.06 and bowling average was 32.84.
