Denise Emerson was a Right handed batswoman with the Australia Women’s cricket team. She has also played for the New South Wales Women and the Western Australia Women’s team. She was also known by her maiden name Denise Alderman.

Denise Emerson made her debut in International cricket in a One day International match against the Indian Women’s team at Auckland in 1982. Emerson scored 77 runs and was run out. Australia won the match by 153 runs. In 1984, Denise Emerson played her debut test match against the English Women’s team at Perth. In the first innings, Emerson opened the batting lineup with Peta Verco and scored 84 runs in 238 balls which also included 6 boundaries and was bowled out by Jacqueline Court. In the second innings, Denise Emerson once again opened the Australian attack and scored 20 runs in 58 balls and was run out. The match however ended in a draw. She played her last match in 1987 in a test against the England team at Wetherby.
