Abdur Rauf is a right handed batsman and right arm fast medium bowler who plays for Pakistan Cricket team. Some other teams for whom he has played are Sui Gas Corporation of Pakistan, Rest of Punjab and Lahore Division.

In the 1999-2000 season, Rauf debuted in First class cricket as well as List A cricket. He made his domestic Twenty20 debut on 25th April 2005 at Lahore in a match between Multan Tigers and Karachi Zebras. In this match, he bowled 4 overs and took 1 wicket while conceding 26 runs. Rauf played his first One day Intenational on 2nd February 2008 at Sheikhupura while playing against Zimbabwe. In this match, Rauf bowled 8.4 overs and took 3 wickets for 45 runs. He did not bat in this match but took one catch.
