Paul Hoffmann is a right arm medium fast bowler and a right handed batsman with the Scotland cricket team. He was born in Australia in 1970.

Paul Hoffmann started playing first class cricket in 2004. He made his debut in International cricket in One day International match against Pakistan at Edinburgh in 2006. Hoffmann was dismissed for no runs after getting caught by Mohammad Asif off a ball by Shoaib Malik. Hoffmann was however the leading wicket taker in his team that match claiming the wickets of Shoaib Malik, Salman Butt and Younis Khan and giving away just 22 runs in the 10 overs that he bowled. Hoffmann’s hard work went in vain as Pakistan won the match by 5 wickets. Hoffmann was accompanied by RR Watson, DR Lockhart, NFI McCallum, RT Lyons, NJ MacRae, JD Nel and CJO Smith who were also making their debut for Scotland in One day International matches.

In 2007, Paul Hoffmann announced his retirement from International cricket. He did not play a single International test match.
