Abdur Rehman is a left arm slow orthodox bowler and a left hand batsman with the Pakistani cricket team. He has also played for the Gujranwala Cricket Association, Habib Bank Limited and the Sialkot Cricket Association teams.
Abdur Rehman started playing first class cricket since 1997. He made his international debut in a One day International match against the West Indies at Faisalabad in 2006. Rehman bowled 10 overs and claimed 2 wickets, scoring 20 runs. He even came to bat and scored 7 runs before getting out in the final overs and Pakistan won the match by 2 wickets.
Rehman made his test debut in 2007 against South Africa at Karachi. Rehman was the highest wicket taker in the first innings of the match with 4 wickets. He gave away just 105 runs in 31 overs. In the second innings, he once again picked up 4 wickets and gave away 105 runs in 38 overs. South Africa however won the match by 160 runs. Rehman has been denied opportunities in the Pakistani team due to the abundance of spinners and all-rounders in the side.
