Sunil Philip Narine is a West Indian cricket player, who played in U-19 Cricket World Cup held in 2006 in Sri Lanka. He has appeared in first class cricket for the team of Trinidad and Tobago team. Recently, he was bought in the Indian Premier League by the team of Kolkata Knight Riders at an auction held in February 2012.
There have been many franchises, which include the Mumbai Indians, who have publicly even expressed their disappointment at having failed to sign him. It was in 2011, when he came to the attention of the IPL franchises and the Indian cricket fans, through his amazing performances during an impressive match held between India and West Indies, in one day series. This match was won by India by 4-1.
