A scoring system used in the sport of professional boxing. The winner of a round automatically gets 10 points, whereas the loser gets 9 points. If the boxer gets knocked down once, he gets a one point deduction, resulting in a 10-8 score. If he gets knocked down twice, he gets another point deduction making the score 10-7. If both players are knocked down, the points cancel out each other. A point can also be deducted as the referee calls it, especially after an intentional foul.
