Satoshi Iida is a Japanese professional boxer under the super flyweight division, who was born on August 11, 1969 in Nagoya, Aichi, Japan where he is currently residing as well. He started fighting professionally when he applied to a boxing school when he got into college. In 1994, this left-handed fighter became the national champion in the junior bantam weight division. Two years after, in 1996, he competed for a world title for the first time but he was not successful in doing so. A year later, in December 1997 in Nagoya, Japan, he won the WBA junior bantam weight world title over Yokthai Sith Oar of Thailand. He defended the title by July 1998, but was eventually defeated by Jesus Kiki Rojas of Venezuela by December of that same year. By February 1999, he announced his retirement from the boxing world. In his career, he had a total of 25 wins, 2 loses and a draw.
