Career

Adames turned pro in July 2015. It was against Jeff Souffrant and was held at the Brooklyn Masonic Temple. Since turning pro, he has been in 23 fights, winning 22 of them and losing one.

In February 2016, he won his first title, the WBA Fedecaribe Welterweight title after defeating Kelly Figueroa. In April 2016, he beat Patrick Lopez to win the WBA Fedlatin Welterweight title. From December 2016 to July 2017, he defended the Fedlatin title three times.

In October 2018, he won the North American Boxing Federation Super Welterweight title after he beat Joshua Conley. In April 2019, he added the WBO NABO Super Welterweight title to his name.

He had his first loss in November 2019. It was to Patrick Teixeira and it cost him the WBO Interim World Super Welterweight title. In October 2022, he went up against Juan Macias Montiel and won. It gave him the WBC Interim World Middleweight title.
