During the first video, Mayweather released statements referring to Pacquiao as a “yellow chump” and that he, Mayweather, was just on a year long vacation. He said that he would eventually return to “stomp the midget.”
On September 3, Mayweather soon commented that he “didn’t really mean any of it.”
Mayweather continued saying, “I do want to apologize for what happened the other night. I want to apologize to everybody because everybody thought that it was a racist comment that I said. I don’t have a racist bone in my body. I have nothing but love for everybody.”
He added, “Some of my guys are Muslim, some of my guys are Jews, Puerto Ricans, Dominicans, whites… it doesn’t matter. I got nothing but love in my heart. All I want to say is, if anybody was affected from what I said the other day, I apologize as a man. I was just having fun. I didn’t really mean it.”
In the previous video that caused so much reaction, Mayweather said, “Once I stomp the midget, I’m going to make that (expletive)… make me a sushi roll and cook me some rice… We’re going to cook that (expletive) with some cats and dogs.”
With all the talks regarding the Mayweather fight against Pacquiao, so far, all people can actually do is wait until Mayweather makes up his mind: to fight or not to fight.
