‘Alexis Kay’ree Hornbuckle is an American professional basketball player in WNBA who was born in Charleston, West Virginia to Jerome and Quandora Hornbuckle. She has one brother, Cedrick.

Hornbuckle attended South Charleston High School and competed in her high school female soccer team. Named as a WBCA All-American, she even participated in the WBCA High School All-America Game in 2004 earning 8 points and becoming MVP honored player.

Hornbuckle attended the University of Tennessee from 2004 to 2008. She played for the Lady Volunteers under coach Pat Summitt. During her tenure here, she set a franchise record with 7 steals in only 19 minutes. In 2008, she was selected by the Detroit Shock team in the first round of the fourth overall.

Hornbuckle was the #4 pick in the 2008 WNBA draft, ending up, after a couple of trades, with the Detroit Shock. Presently, she is playing for Besiktas team in Turkey during the 2008-09 WNBA off-season.
