Carlos Arroyo played for Cangrejeros de Santurce from 1998 to 2003. He was associated with the following teams during his career – Toronto Raptors from 2001 to 2002, Denver Nuggets in 2002, TAU Ceramica in 2002, Utah Jazz from 2002 to 2005, Detroit Pistons during 2005-06 and Orlando Magic from 2006 to 2008.
Although his success in the NBA has been a moderate one, he has developed into one of the best international point guards. In the 2004 Olympics in Athens, he led the Puerto Rico national basketball team with 18 points per game. When Puerto Rico defeated the United States 92-73, he recorded 4 steals, 7 assists and 25 points. He had an average of 5.2 assists per game, 4.6 rebounds per game and 21.2 points per game in the 2006 FIBA World Championship.
