Aleksey Savrasenko is a member of Russian national basketball team. Till date he has played with the following clubs – From 1995 to 2000 with Olympiacos Piraeus, during 2000-01 with Peristeri Athens, during 2001-02 with Olympiacos Piraeus and from 2002 to 2009 with CSKA Moscow. Currently, he is associated with Spartak Saint Petersburg.

Aleksey is the citizen of both Greece and Russia. On his Greek passport, his name is Alexis Amanatidis. While on court, he plays at the Center position. He is 120 kg in weight and 7 feet ¾ inches in height.

After being selected in the Russian national basketball team, he took active part in the 2002 FIBA World Championship. He was also a member of the following European Championships – 2001, 2003, 2005 and 2007.

Career Highlights

Aleksey Savrasenko won the Gold Medal for Russia in the 2007 Spain Men’s basketball. His other achievements are as follows – won Russian cup championships in 2005, 2006 and 2007, won Russian League Championships in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008, won Triple Crown in Basketball Championships in 1997 and 2006, won Euroleague championships in 1997, 2006 and 2008, won Greek Cup championships in 1997 and 2002 and won Greek Championships in 1996 and 1997.
