Darnell Hinson has been assigned the position of Guard. In 2008, he represented West Sydney and from 2009 onwards, he played for Perth Wildcats. He is 187 centimeters tall and 91 kgs in weight.

When Hinson was along with Northeastern State University in Oklahoma, he was the all time leading scorer for the club and had scored 1498 points. During the 2002-03 season, Hinson was selected as Player of the Game in the Championship Final Game where the opponent was Kentucky Welsleyan. In the 2003-04 season, he was chosen a Division 2 All American. He has also played in Germany (Freiburg) and Holland (Zwolle). He led his team in scoring at 20.2 points per game in 2004-05 while shooting 40 percent from the 3 point line. In Europe, he recently played in the Netherlands with Hanzevast Capitals. During the 2007-08 season, he led the Razorbacks in scoring at 20.5 points per game.
