Ebi Ere practiced college basketball from 2000 to 2002 at Barton County Community College. Prior to the 2002 season, he transferred to the University of Oklahoma. Ere and his teammate Hollis Price were members of Oklahoma Sooners in 2002. They led the team to the Final Four but in the national semifinal, they were defeated by Indiana Hoosiers.
Ebi Ere weighs 96 kg and is 1.94 meters tall. In 2004, he was a member of Sydney Kings. During the 2007-08 season, he represented Brisbane Bullets and shifted to Carolina Giants in 2008. Presently, he is a member of Melbourne Tigers.
Ere represented the 2008 Memphis Grizzlies Summer League team. Then, he signed with the South Dragons, but desired an NBA contract. So, the South Dragons took the decision not to wait for Ere and as their second import signed Tremmell Darden. Further, Ere signed with the Melbourne Tigers and due to these changes the enmity between the Dragons and the Tigers has increased.
