Tyson Demos debuted in the NBL in 2007 along with the Gold Coast Blaze. Brendan Joyce, the Gold Coast coach, has remarked that Demos is a player of the future. This talented teenager is good at defense and is an excellent outside shooter. In the 10 man roster of the club, he is the least experienced guy. He has the experience of playing for Australia at the under-19 level. In his age group, he is one of the top guards in Australia.

For the Australasian Championships, he has represented the Under 16, Under 18 and 20 NSW rosters. At the 2006 Australian junior championships, he was ranked in the top 10 in 3 point shooting. He played an important role in the gold medal winning game.

Usually, he plays in the position of Shooting guard and has a height of 192 centimeters. His previous club was the Australian Institute of Sport. During the 2008-09 season, the maximum playing time he has received during a game is 22 minutes. This game was played on 21st January 2009 and the opponent was 36ers.
