Vladimir Veremeenko played for Avtodor Saratov from 2002 to 2004. Then he shifted to Dynamo St. Petersburg and was with this team from 2004 to 2006. During the 2006 NBA draft, he was selected by Washington Wizards as the 48th pick. For the next two years from 2006 to 2008, he was a member of BC Khimki. In August 2008, he signed a contract with UNICS Kazan and is currently representing this team.
Veremeenko has an extremely high skill level and his aptitude can be proved by the way he puts the ball in the hoop. He handles the ball nicely and has a good first step which he puts into use to cause mismatches on the perimeter. He is a better mid-range shooter rather than a 3-point shooter. The ball is moved off nicely by him, passed unselfishly and he knows the tact of maximizing himself by acting as a freelancer offensively.
During the 2007-08 season in the Eurocup, Vladimir Veremeenko participated in 9 games and got 15 minutes per game. His 3-point field goal percentage was 0.500, field goal percentage was 0.514 and free throw percentage was 0.727. He recorded 5.9 points per game, 2.2 personal fouls per game, 1.1 assists per game, 3.2 rebounds per game and 0.9 steals per game.
